This upcoming Air Jordan 3 is inspired by lucha libre culture. Making use of a white, red and green color palette inspired by the Mexican flag, they sports a white leather upper with lizard print overlays on the side inspired by luchadors masks.
Red lizard print overlays are seen at the toe and wrap the heel, taking the positions typically occupied by the iconic elephant print. Perched atop the tongue is a metallic gold Jumpman, while green reptile print shows up at the collar.
Behind the tongue reads “Que Fuerza” and “Mas Vale Maña.” When the two phrases are combined translates into “Skill is better than strength.” The phrase emphasizes working strategically, rather than merely using brute force to overcome obstacles.
A white midsole and rubber outsole completes the aesthetic. The sneakers will also be housed in special packaging that is inspired by lucha fight posters.
The “El Vuelo” Air Jordan 3 is slated to release on September 16, 2025, Mexican Independence Day. They will carry a 230 USD sticker price.
